There was hardly any political, social, religious, agrarian, labour, industrial or other problem which did no come under his purview and with which he did not deal in his own way within the framework of the principles which he held to be basic and fundamental. There was hardly any aspect of life in India which he did not influence and fashion according to his own pattern, beginning with the small de- tails of individual life regarding food, dress, daily occupation, right up to big social problems which had for centuries be- come a part of life. not only unbreakable but also sacro-sanct- like the caste system and untouchability.
